Cervical Cancer Screening for Sexual and Gender Minority

Wednesday, May. 16, 2018, 12:00 PM

This presentation discusses some of the barriers that prevent sexual and gender minority individuals who are assigned female at birth from taking care of their cervical health. This presentation also discusses some steps to take to make "traditional woman-only" spaces more LGBT affirming and welcoming as well as alternative options for cervical Pap tests, such as self-sampling kits. Finally, we discussed Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center's new health promotion campaign, "If you've got it, Pap it!"
